Salt River Project (SRP)—a valued EVHCC board member and sponsor—has released six assistance programs to help residents manage electricity bills during Arizona’s hottest months. Below is a snapshot you can share with employees, neighbors and clients.
1. Economy Price Plan
Income-eligible customers receive a $23 monthly bill credit—that’s up to $276 a year—on their SRP electric bill.
2. SRP M-Power® (Pay-As-You-Go)
This prepaid, flat-rate plan lets you load funds in advance and track usage in real time. The average M-Power customer saves 12 percent compared with other SRP plans.
3. Project SHARE
If you’re struggling to pay your bill, you may qualify for up to $500 in one-time assistance through SRP’s partnership with The Salvation Army.
4. Energy Assistance by City
Find local nonprofits, municipal programs and community-action agencies that can help with utility bills in every SRP-served city.
5. SRP eNotes™
Sign up for free email or text alerts: projected bills, high-usage warnings, payment reminders and outage notifications—so surprises never derail your budget.
6. Federal Weatherization Assistance Program
Qualifying households receive no-cost home upgrades—insulation, sealing, efficient HVAC—to permanently lower energy bills.
Why This Matters
With temperatures routinely topping 110°F, summer energy spikes can be a financial strain—especially for small-business owners and families in the East Valley. Sharing these SRP resources aligns with EVHCC’s mission to strengthen our community one business at a time while keeping homes safe and comfortable.
